It has become one of the most popular event in the village calendar with the opportunity of not just playing bingo but having a delicious fish and chip supper included. So, you were safe in the knowledge that even if you did not win one of those delicious boxes of chocolates as prizes for either a line or a full house you knew your hot fish supper was on its way. Not that prizes were limited to just chocolates, a whole range of goodies were on offer from bottles of gin to fancy bottle openers to biscuits, bath and body gift sets.

Your entrance price gave you that full fish and chip supper – plus 10 games of bingo, – plus a chance to win in the raffle and of course with a full bar open at Sunday Club prices, liquid refreshment could be taken to help sharpen the mind and keep those eyes focused on the numbers.

Best of all you knew your contributions we’re going towards raising funds for Mayfield’s very own playground, a project dear to the hearts of villagers as can be seen from the excellent turn out.

Every person attending got one book of bingo numbers with each ticket but that did not stop many from buying extra books to increase their chances of winning and with 20 prizes on offer during the afternoon as well as many raffle prizes, the prize goodies were soon on most of the tables in a packed hall.

As per previous bingo sessions Andrew was the caller, who, despite the occasional goodnatured heckle, from the crowd did a great job. Thanks go to those avid Bingo Players who helped raise funds for
a great village project.
