Three village groups have come together to host a day of summer fun for all Mayfield residents at the MRA Playing Field this August.
The MRA, Mayfield Memorial Hall and Marna have all allocated funding to the Mayfield Village Show – a traditional fete with horticulture and handicraft show, live music, games, prizes and entertainment.
The free event, on Saturday 9 August, will include activities for all age groups, from circus skills and inflatables to football fun and crafty creations.
Street Food Corner
There will be plenty to tickle the tastebuds, with a street food corner including delicious dishes from Sri Lanka, Greece and Britain, as well as sweet treats such as cakes, popcorn and candyfloss.
Dog, craft and horticultural shows
A raffle will be held on the day with cash prizes provided by Mayfield Yarns, while a dog show and the horticulture show, sponsored by Graham and Jane Woodhouse, are also planned.

Circus Academy and live music
The Circus Academy will be bringing fun for all ages, sponsored by Ruby and Jason Stanley of Mayfield Snuggery and live entertainment on the day will include music with a rockabilly twist from Unlucky Strike.

Children can also learn more about rural life and farming by meeting Shaun the Sheep’s real life counterparts, thanks to Mr Mark Rowlinson.
Book a stall
Community groups based in the village and beyond will be running stalls and activities on the day, alongside designers, makers, crafters and small businesses from the local area.
Pitches are still available at just £10, with all proceeds from the show to be invested in future events.
To run a stall, game or activity, or to book a pitch for a small business, please email: office@marna.org.uk.
